I was commenting on someone I knew who is a distinguished older gentleman with a British accent, how it was very attractive.
And DK responds with: "Yes, British girls with accents are so attractive."
Immediately I was offended, bruised, and hurt (hehe) and felt this comment was totally uncalled for and unfair!! Why is it though, that it's ok for us to say things like that but if our men reciprocate and agree, it's totally off limits?
Hahahah, what a dilemna!!

oh my gosh, yes! i have had that little scenario happen in my relationship and i became upset when my boyfriend answered... then i thought about it and realized just how silly i was being.
hehe so funny! i know it's totally silly:)
oh boy, i just heard jerry jenkins speak on this last night. he said, "even when my wife makes little comments like, 'Oh you could just have anyone you want,' i never joke back. i always respond seriously with, 'i can't imagine being with anyone else. i only want you.' it's a way to make her feel secure." unfair or not, that's what i prefer to hear! :)
For eternity we will always respond that way. It's just the way it is. The key is to not set ourselves up.
love you girl,
cindy
I'd perfect that british accent, just to throw him for a loop. No- that's not the right answer! But it might be fun...
i think i know who you are talking about with the accent :)
Stacey, you be quiet :) Andrea, that's not a half bad idea! Clever hehe!!
Yes, but ... *which* British accent?
Northern (Yorkshire, Mancurian or Geordie)
Aberdonian (east side of Scotland)
Glaswegian (west side of Scotland)
West London (more refined)
Etonian (very posh)
Midlands (middle-class)
Brummie (working class)
Essex (think: trailer-park)
Welsh
Cornwall
So many choices of accent -- so little time :)
