DK's DIY Tripod Lamp.

DK picked this tripod up at a yard sale for around $40 a few years ago and while moving last week, decided to do something more than put it back in the closet. (Where it's been since he bought it.)

First he went to Home Depot and picked up a lamp kit for around $10. This was step #1.
Here you can see the tripod.
Then he installed the lamp kit and put in a light bulb.
We picked up a lampshade at Ikea for around $6.
And just like that, we have a new (adjustable heights) homemade lamp for just under $60! (Plus it comes with a story and bragging rights, haha!)
Oh look! I found this one at Pottery Barn for $200!
