anatomy of a perfect saturday.

How on earth did this happen? All of us available for a random Saturday morning casual hangtime, thank you Lord in Heaven!

Apparel: Sundresses and sandals
Location: Tiff's house, Richmond farmer's market and possibly The Guild if time allowed
Menu: Tiffany's creative and fresh melodies (recipes to follow.)
Tiffany took us to the Richmond farmer's market and besides it being so darn hot, it was really decent. Lots of options for canned goods, fresh eggs and meats, vegetables and cheeses.

Stephanie wears this hat so well, ya?

"This one looks good."

Such beautiful flowers with names I couldn't pronounce. Go later on and she discounts them.

Tiffany and Stephanie

This little girl was incredibly knowledgeable on which melons were best.

Girl talk...
Grinning and baring it despite the hot Houston heat...

Local salsa, Lindsey picked some up for her beloved. (His name is Adam.)

Tiffany was looking for arugula, where did we see it? Time to go home...

And when we arrived back to Tiff's place, Mr. Titus was waiting for us on the front lawn, just hanging out chillin'. (Somebody got out of the gate hehe.)

Cooling off in the kitchen while Tiffany made a beautiful lunch, good music was a must.

Ice cold!!

Delicious Lunch Salad - Thanks Tiff for the recipe!
2 cans drained chick peas
1 large tomato, diced
1/2 c chopped onion
4 tbsp olive oil
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp dried red pepper flakes
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp tumeric
chopped fresh parsley and cilantro to taste (I like a lot of cilantro
and a handful of parsley!)
Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
salt and pepper

I like to use a garlic press (or chop it) and add the garlic and red
pepper to the olive oil while I prepare everything else, then mix it
all together!
Steph likes it too.

There he is! Such a good boy!

Orange-Balsamic Salad Dressing
(stole the idea from epicurious)

1/4 cup olive oil
2 tsp orange juice
2 tsp balsamic dressing
2 tsp molasses (maple syrup would work, too)
salt and pepper
1 tsp grated ginger
squeeze of fresh lemon juice
cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste

And like that, it was time to go.

DK picked me up on the scooter and on our way back downtown, drove through a little rain storm. The idea of riding in the rain sounded totally romantic till the rain started to pelt my skin...ouch. But my Mr. Tough Guy didn't flinch once.
What a great way to spend a Saturday, ya?
