Pray For Her Man.

Dear Baby K,

I realized recently how even though you're still in my belly, it's never too early to start praying for the handsome and lucky man that will sweep you off your feet and into a beautiful life together. I wonder if he's already been born? If right now he's learning to walk or is discovering solid food and making his mama laugh with all his silly facial expressions? I wonder if he was born in Europe or Canada or Montana? I wonder if he'll have brown hair or blue eyes... wherever he is, I know our God knows every detail of him. I know too that he is a beautiful blessing to his mama and I know he's a miracle. I know God already knows the plan for his life and I trust God has huge, exciting, adventurous, breathtaking life experiences in store for him, including the day he lays eyes on you for the first time. Ohhh, it takes my breath away to think about.

I promise I will be there waiting for a phone call or a visit from you to hear every detail about your first conversations and how your heart fluttered when he first held your hand. Love is such a beautiful experience, is so lovely to receive and even more fulfilling to give. There will be tough times of course, but it's your mutual love for the Lord and accepting his grace into your weakest places that will get you through. And I will absolutely be here to help you along the way with those details.

I pray you pay attention to your dad throughout the years, the way he takes care of us and also the way he loves me. Your dad was the first man in my life who so diligently and patiently waited for me, because he knew from the beginning that I was the one for him. He works so hard, loves so hard, and his creativity knows no depths... and I'm not just talking about his work ethic, but in his relationship with me. Just yesterday morning, he woke up and was so anxious to feel you kicking from inside my belly. It was surely what he woke up thinking about, he loves you so much! Knowing he had a long day of work ahead of him, he made a big deal about going to get some coffee together, picking up some breakfast tacos to go and then took Kenai and me to a park where we watched Kenai run and dance around in the morning air, ate our breakfast and talked about our days ahead. You know what else I love about him? He never once checked his phone while he was with me.

To say I'm excited for the life ahead of you is an understatement, you are going to bring so much joy and light to so many around you, including the man you spend the rest of your life with. I'm excited to help plan your wedding and showers and so much more, but most importantly, I want to be the best example to you of how to love and respect your man... Right now your dad is practicing his Elmo voice around the house for when you come and I'm making the choice to smile and appreciate even his goober traits. Oh my word!! I think you'll love it baby girl, I know you'll adore your papa to no end.

Love,
Mama

This is beautiful. I wrote a similar letter yesterday. I can so relate to these feelings... and to being filled to the brim with gratitude over God's goodness and the little life to come.

By the way, Baby K's future mate is due mid to late July. And he'll probably have brown hair and hazel eyes. :)

Love this! You are so right... it is never too early! What a wonderful testimony for her to have a dad that will show her what she should wait for.. so many never had that daddy figure so they seek that out in a man. Be blessed ... or should I say Stay blessed :)
